During your eye exam we will:

• Take a history of previous eye problems
• Check prescription (refractive error)
• Check eye health and disease
• Screen for peripheral vision
• problems and binocular vision status
• Counsel on preventative eye health

• Digital Retina Camera – Enables us to see signs of diabetes, macular degeneration, or developing cataracts. This also enables us to determine optic nerve health.
• Cirrus HD-OCT – Advanced imaging technology that creates a digital cross-section of your retina and optic nerve.
• Auto-Refractor – This determines the curvature of your eye. This is helpful for approximating lens prescription and contact fitment.
• Non-Contact Tonometer – This device, known as the “air puff”, measures eye pressure. This is helpful in detecting Age-Related Macular Degeneration (aka, AMD).
• Visual Examination – An overview of health and vision concerns and conditions.
• Digital Retina Scan – Review images from the digital retinal camera for health concerns.
• Peripheral Vision Screen – Determines the health of the connection between the optic nerve and brain.
• Nerve Fibre Layer Analysis – New technology that helps to diagnose glaucoma ten years earlier than previous methods.
